Welcome to The Trees Estate, a historic event venue with lodging in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Tucked beneath towering ancient trees on 20+ peaceful acres, our 155-year-old Italianate mansion offers a romantic and joyful setting for couples who want an elegant backyard wedding weekend surrounded by their closest friends and family.
The meticulously preserved historic home sleeps 12 guests, allowing your inner circle to stay on site and experience the warmth of the whole weekend. From welcome drinks on the lawn to a candlelit reception under the pergola, every moment feels intimate, relaxed, and deeply personal. Couples exchange vows beneath the trees in our woodland ceremony space, then celebrate on the stone patio reception area complete with tables, chairs, china, and a dance floor for up to 120 guests. Our spacious kitchen can accommodate professional caterers, making it easy to host a seamless wedding weekend.

I'm Leslie Muhlhahn, the owner of The Trees Estate.
I was a long-time vendor at the Ithaca Farmer’s Market, and a local business owner for over 25 years. I am a professionally trained chef, specializing in pastries, wedding cake, and wood-fired pizza. I live on the grounds of the property, in the carriage house, with my three Akita dogs, Groucho, Guinevere, and Nadia.
I value providing an enjoyable vacation for our guests using my experience to suggest the best of the bounty of the Finger Lakes, by creating a comfortable retreat, and sharing the history of The Trees. It is the ultimate compliment to have guests choose The Trees for cherished family time and memorable, once in a lifetime events.
